3rd Day in a Row!!

190 lbs. Its been 3 straight days. I've had to step on the scale a few times to make sure it wasn't broken. I was a little bummed when I saw that. I wanted 189 to pop up so bad. But I'll take it. With the amount of hockey games I'm going to have under my belt this weekend... If I don't hit 189 lbs. on Monday, I'll be pissed!! But that also means I can't be eating all kinds of shit, or skipping meals for that matter.
Workout this morning was great. The heart rate monitor has been my new toy & its gotten me pushing myself a little harder. I think its funny something like that could do that to me. If I knew that, I would have bought it sooner. At the end of the workout, my results from today was better than the results from yesterday. I burned more fat grams, more calories & I stayed in my "zone" longer. My max heart rate was 175, which I pushed to get during cardio. What surprised me is that I've always felt that my Monday/Thursday workout is the one that gets me going. It really pumps me up & I can feel it throughout the day. But apparently my Tuesday/Friday workout is the one that actually gets the blood pumping. My max yesterday was a 166 ( during cardio ), I do believe I hit a 120 during actual weightlifting. Today, I hit 160 during weighttraining alone. Can't believe this watch & chest strap has me so giddy!! Well it's a busy day leading to a busy weekend. I'm hoping I'll be able to do a couple of posts this weekend. But I have a lot going on... HOCKEY TOURNAMENT!! I will try though, just because I know on Monday my post would be LOOOOOONG if I posted EVERYTHING that went on this upcoming weekend. Til next time...

Egg Whites...

Just finishing off my egg whites... Mmmm... That was the honest truth, well, with a little sarcasm. 190lbs. today!! Two days in a row. It's been the lowest I've been in a while. I've hit 190 lbs. 3 out of the 11 days, so I'm pretty happy. Now to break the 180's.
Workout this morning was great!! I think having my new heart rate monitor helped. It was fun playing with it & the chest strap didn't get in the way like I thought it would. It showed me my average HR, my max HR, how long I was in the zone, how long I was above/below & other fun stuff. I was pretty happy with the results. I can't wait to try it out tomorrow night while I'm playing hockey.
Yesterday was a pretty good day. Met up with a teammate from baseball & went to a field to toss the ball around. He hasn't thrown in a while so it was nice to get some warm up tosses in. Then he moved over to first to simulate throws from third to first. So I got a lot of work in. Felt good!! Arm wasn't tired & I didn't bounce any in, so I was pretty happy about that. We also worked on hitting plastic colored balls ( little ones hehe ) which helped our hand eye coordination. We would toss two colored balls up in the air, soft toss style & yell out a color of one. The batter then had to hit the right color. Worked well... except when I would toss them too close together & both would get hit. BONUS!!
Well thats all for now... Oh, I managed to finally get my 45 lb. dumbells yesterday. $139.00 for two 45 lb. dumbells... UGH!! But I used them this morning so I'm glad I did it. Til next time...

Mistakes...

Rest Day!! Which made it hard again to wake up. I think on rest days I'm going to wake up at normal time & do something other than workout, just to get the body going in the morning. Who knew that a extra hour & a half of sleep would throw me off so.
Mistakes... Yesterday was a day full of fun errors. It was the first time that the wife & I had to be in two different places at the same time. Our son had baseball practice & our daughter had orchestra. Since I have trouble watching baseball practice, I decided to chauffeur my daughter around. She had a project due in a couple of days & of course, like all teenagers, put it off til the last minute. Granted that the information was passed on to my wife a few weeks back, the stubbornness of both wife & daughter led to the trips to the store not happening. So here I was yesterday running around to various stores looking for items that were tough to find. Turns out a lot of other kids had put it off to the last minute & was looking for the same items we were. The first store we went to had a fun little argument between the employees while we were in the store. The male employee was trying to help two little hotties with a disposable type cellphone. The lady employee was convince what they wanted was not possible by store rules. The girls ended up leaving pissed because of "store rules". The male employee then ripped the female employee a new one while we were in the store shopping. Turns out after a few phone calls... he was right & had lost his sale. Plus the chance to help two out of town hotties. We ended up getting the rest of our needs at other stores.
Mistake #2... I happened to be following a female who, from behind, was a glory to follow. Not even thinking of my surroundings. When I got to where I was going, it turned out that... not only did I know the girl, but her mom & brother. She was well under the age I thought she was & didn't even recognized her. Talk about feeling embarrassed!! Luckily no one knew why except for me.
Mistake #3... Remember when we were in school & chewing gum in class was not allowed?? Well I finally found out why... hehe... Sitting in my daughters orchestra performance ( Which was surprisingly excellent!! ) I was chewing this piece of gum. Apparently this brand I was chewing is really sticky & after a few bubbles I noticed it was sticking to my lips. It was also losing flavor. So I did what any "normal" person would. Instead of finding a paper to wrap it in, or worst case scenario, swallow it. I took it out of my mouth & tried to ball it up so I could hide it somewhere. But... it's fricken sticky... so when I looked down, it was all over my hands. I looked like a 3 year old chewing gum for the first time. All over both palms, back of the hands, in between fingers... WTF?? So I did what I could to get it off of me. I rubbed it into the rug, spit on my hands & rubbed them together until it felt like I was starting a fire. Eventually I got my hands as clean as I could, but there is a bunch of gum now on the rug in the orchestra room. I think my daughter is going to check today if its still there since I told her the story last night after the concert.
Mistake #4... Ice cream. After the concert, the students had ice cream. Apparently since the crowd was small, there was going to be some left over for parents. This created a little dilemma for me. I didn't want ice cream, well I wanted it, just didn't NEED it. But when my daughter asked me if I wanted some, I figured that one scoop wouldn't hurt. I said "yes". Apparently I misheard my daughter. I ended up SERVING ice cream. I managed to sneak a scoop in at the end. That was my afternoon/evening. I also returned a heart rate monitor that was pissing me off & got a new one with a chest strap, but nothing entertaining happened then. Til next time!!

None...

Second Tuesday of this 12 week plan... So far so good. I enjoy when you feel the workouts. Makes it seem like its working. ( Imagine that!! ) I bought a heart rate monitor the other day & have been using it the past few days to see if I'm keeping my heart rate in the "zone". It sucks... I need to get one with the strap that goes around your chest, because this one is pissing me off. This one is supposed to be able to give you your reading by letting you place your finger on the chrome on the watch. It works the first few times, then it doesn't read. You spend half of your rest period trying to get your heart rate, & when you do, it's down because you have been resting for a couple of minutes. ( My rest time between exercises is 50 seconds ). I'm returning it of course...
Eating. UGH!! I think my low point was Wed - Friday of last week. The weekends are not the best, but I can handle it. I just have to adjust my times because I usually sleep in. But yesterday wasn't too bad. But time was a issue & I found myself just making several protien shakes to compensate for the fact that I didn't really eat. What did that equal?? 190 lbs. WHOOHOO!! Nice results, doesn't mean I felt good just doing protien shakes. Oh well... Today is going to be a busy day. Son has baseball practice, mom will take care of that. I've got to take my daughter to orchestra... yay!! <--- Sarcasm. But at least I wont feel like I need to step in & help teach orchestra. hehe...
Alright. I need to send out a email to get my next two week plan for food & workout. YAY!! <--- actual happiness!! End result, end result, end result... Til next time!!

Day 1 of Week 2...

First off... Weekend Update!! Friday night, did dinner with the wife & a friend. That went well, except I couldn't eat the great things they were. They also drank a little, I had water. It was tough. But I felt good the next morning when I got on the scale & it read 190lbs. WHOOHOOO!!
Saturday... Not so good. Since I sleep in on the weekends, it throws off my schedule. I didn't eat as regularly as I would've liked. But I tried to be good since I knew later on in the evening I'd probably give in to some "naughtys". My son had a baseball game, he went 2-2 with a double & 2 runs. So proud!! Then came the fights... we had a few people over a some snacks. I didn't over do it, but I didn't stick to my strict rules. It made me sick the next day when I got on the scale & it was 194lbs. Both days of the weekend were rest days so those were the days I was supposed to be on my best behaviour. UGH!!
Sunday... woke up, got my hockey gear ready for the afternoon. Picked up the kids, watched The Hangover with the pops. He went to Wenatchee on Sat. so I didn't get to spend quality time with him on his bday. So we broke in the new Blu-Ray player with a nice comedy. Then at 5:45 p.m. I hit the ice for the first time in a few weeks. Felt good!! I happen to score the first goal accidentally... I was forechecking & the defensive player went to throw it back around the boards when it deflected off of my shin pad past the goalie into the net. I'll take it!! But it was nice to be on the ice.
Workout today... was great. I upped my weights on a few exercises & did my HIIT. Sweating by the end. I felt good. Now back to the good eating... I mean in a healthy sense, not that it tastes good. The wife is starting to do a similar thing. She is entering a contest. I'll find out more about it & post. But I know she was taking her "before & after" pics this morning & filling out the forms. We also went shopping late last night to get her the "good" foods she's supposed to be eating today. We'll see how that goes. We stayed up a little later than usual prepping for today. Well I'm running late... better get back to work!! Til next time...

Week Down... 11 To Go!!

Today was another great workout. Like I said, the workout isn't the hard part... DAMN FOOD!! It was back, biceps & abs again. (with cardio at the end ) A little easier, but I wouldn't say by much. Especially since I'm supposed to be going HEAVY!! But there was sweat again & I felt like I had worked. I've had moments in the past where I worked hard, but it never felt like it. This is a nice welcomed change.
The weekend is upon us again. My son has a baseball game tomorrow. We are also planning on picking up the WEC fight on Saturday & have a few friends over. Sunday I get to step on the ice for the first time in a few weeks. It'll be nice. A friendly scrimmage to get our tournament team ready for next week. That's my weekend plans. Plus, dads birthday is tomorrow, but since we've already gotten him what he wants, we probably wont be gathering for a party. I do believe they are taking a day trip so...
I guess that's it for now. The day has dragged so far & so have I... LACK OF CARBS!! Til next time...

A Much Better Day 4...

Since yesterday was a rest day, my body felt out of whack. I slept in, my eating was thrown off, & it just seemed like I couldn't get my ass into gear. This morning... Totally different. I woke up ready to go, took my pre-workout stuff & hit the weights. I felt good. Even my cardio at the end felt great. I told my wife that its weird when you can beat your body up so bad, that it feels good. I was sweating big time when I was done with my workout. It was the feeling I want to have after everyday. Now comes the hard part again... EATING!! I had to flavor up my chicken with a little sauteed veggies & covered both with a little salsa. Mmmm... <-- sarcastic. But the I'm looking at the goal at the end of the road & it's looking good. So as long as I keep that vision in my mind, I can do this!!
Well I hate to cut this short, but I've got a lot of things to take care of here. Til next time...

Day 3... Rest Day...

Here I am, 3 days in & its starting to feel UGH!! I don't mind the exercise part, I actually like it a lot. Its the restrictions on my food, which is limited for this few months to get my body adjusted to the changes I'm assuming?? I don't know, but it's starting to suck. Especially since I work around food, so temptation is EVERYWHERE.
Today was day 3... only a few more months to go!! haha!! It was a rest day, which means I got to sleep in for a hour & a half. Why is it, that I had a extra hour & a half of sleep, but I feel like shit?? I couldn't work out, wanted to, but the body needs to recover. My back is tight as hell from the workout I did yesterday, but overall I feel pretty good. It was just tough to wake up.
That was my workout update...
My dads birthday is this Saturday. I bought him a Blu-Ray player last night. I set it up on his new TV & surprised the shit out of him. It was great. Now he gets to catch up on movies that he wanted to watch, but I couldn't let him borrow because he didn't have a Blu-Ray player. Wow, I thought I would have more to blog about, but apparently today... I SUCK!! Til next time...

Little Early...

So I'm starting this post at 6:45 a.m. When will it finish?? Don't know. I'm not able to post at break today because I wont have one. Our worker has the day off to run kids to the doctors so I have to go without a break. Which is fine, just kind of screws up my everyday routine. I was hoping to post about my new 12 week program...
I started my new program yesterday. I registered for it over a week ago. After I signed up for my new program, I recieved a questionaire from the personal trainer. It had several questions about what kind of weight training I'm currently doing, my sleeping & eating habits, weight, height & various other questions. After I sent it back to him, he was able to figure out my meal plan as well as my workouts. A email was sent back in a few days that had both meal & workout attached to it. I wanted to start it right away, but with the trip last weekend, I figured it would be tough to keep things on schedule. We also had to go to the store & pick up my food options & print up my workout sheet so I can keep a log of my workouts ( sets, reps, weights, etc. ) The wife is really good at doing that on the computer for me.
I will promote the program I'm doing... but it will be after I see positive results. I know after two days that I'm feeling pretty good. One of the reasons I'm not really going into too much detail about this program is that its this persons business. It would ruin it if I went & told everyone what I'm eating ( even though the plan was designed for me ) & what my workout plan was. The truth is... if you really want to, you can do the research yourself & put this same thing together. Why didn't I do that?? Too much work!! I would've had to figure out how much calories my body needs to fuel my workouts & then how much more or less I would need to help shed the pounds. Also the amount of protein I would need. Thats way too much work for me, I just want to follow a plan & work hard to get the results. There is many magazines & "workout bibles" that have the formula to figure it out, by why should I do it when I can pay someone to do it for me?? Save money?? Yeah, but when I researched this person, he had some impressive testimonials that I just had to try it. I'm hoping that in the end, I get to be one of those success stories. So, that being said... I shall keep everyone posted on my progress... at least here. I ain't broadcasting it on Facebook or anything, but I think this blog will help me talk about my progressions.
Day 2: Did little legs, back & biceps today with a intense ab routine. The other thing he wants me to do is drink a 1/2 a gallon during my workout. My body is not used to it yet. I swear the combination of the exercises & me downing a 1/2 gallon, made me want to puke!! Oh did I mention I had 17 minutes of HIIT on the elliptical immediately after my workout?? But I feel good & I actually was sweating, which I haven't done during one of my workouts in a while. Overall I feel pretty good. I took my before pics yesterday & I'll try to take pics after every week to show my progression. I'll start posting them on Bodyspace, eventually, then I'll post them here... if I have the balls hehe.
Well I guess I better get back to work, make this day easier for me. Til next time...

Usual Monday - Weekend Update...

Ahh Monday back at work. The old, " I came to work to rest." statement seems true today. Friday we all headed down to the Great Wolf Lodge. The wife & I took our kids, a friend of our daughter, & our niece & nephew down. Seemed like a good idea & in the end it was... but during... ohhh!! My niece & nephew had a birthday a few weeks back & we decided it would be fun to take them down to the GWL for a fun water park experience. They absolutely loved it. Granted it took a little coaxing to get them down some of the big slides, but by the end of the second day, they were all over the place. That made it hard on the wife & I, trying to keep track of all 5 kids. Lets just say by the time Saturday was over, my migraine was killing. I think it was the cross between keeping up with the kids, the chlorine & all the noise in this indoor water park. I tried to stick it out but in the end, I couldn't. So we left a little earlier than planned. We did have a couple of hiccups before we could leave, but its not worth getting into. Lets just say that my wife tends to make our trips exciting.
We left the GWL Saturday afternoon & dropped off the kids with my parents. The wife & I then headed to The Irishmen for a nice little Irish breakfast I had been craving. I figured this was my last weekend to indulge in my vices... food wise. Plus The Irishmen is a great little pub with some great food. They had entertainment there that night that really set the mood too.
Sunday, was supposed to be a baseball scrimmage, but two things kept me from attending. One was the weekend I had already experienced. Second was the fact that I thought it was a later game. I got all ready thinking I had to be there by 10, so when I checked the email for where, I noticed that I was already 20 minutes late. The wife grumbled at me & went back to bed.
We ended up taking the long way to pick up the kids, stopping so I could get some pictures of the nice sunny day. Then in the evening we went & caught a free show. My sister, her boyfriend, the wife & I went & watched No Duh. They are a tribute band to my favorite band of all time... No Doubt. That capped my weekend off perfectly.
So here it is... Monday. I have started my new 12 week program & so far, I think I can do it. I've got the motivation. I promise I'll tell you more when I have more time. I need to get back to work!! Til next time...

Steak, Egg & Cheese Bagels...

I would say about 10 years ago, McDonalds did breakfast bagels. One with ham, there was another bagel ( don't know what kind, wanna say some jalepeno type with ham ) & a steak, egg & cheese one. I was working down in Ballard at the time which only lasted a year, but during that time we were hitting McDonalds every morning for a steak, egg & cheese bagel. We had a couple of workers from Bosnia & they pronounced it with a accent & that just added to the fun of ordering it. Steach, edge & cheese baagell. So thats how we ordered them. Why am I writing about this?? Well they discontinued the bagel after that year & it was heartbreaking. I don't understand why, it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches EVER!! They replaced it with that waffle bunned breakfast sandwich they have now. Can't believe that piece of shit has lasted longer than the SEC bagel.
Back to the reason for this post... The pops brought in the same meat they used for the SEC bagel, which gives me a chance to duplicate this wonderful breakfast. Doesn't happen often, but when it does, I take full advantage of it. I made 3 this morning, not just for me, but I could've eaten all 3. I introduced the amazing taste of the SEC to 3 good friends, the last one even halfed hers with me. I called it my last hurrah. Next week starts my 12 week thing & I wont get a chance to indulge in the great SEC bagels, so it was nice to have it on my last day. I'm hoping to have a few more of my favorites over the weekend before Monday rolls around. Ohhh just in case you are wondering what the SEC bagel consists of... here is how I do it...

1 steak fillet ( its a thin piece that I use for Philly Steak sandwiches & they are designed to be broken up like ground beef )
2 eggs scrambled & shaped into a square
1 slice american cheese ( placed on the egg )
sauteed onions with black pepper
mayo with a little mustard mixed in - coat both sides of a sliced bagel with the spread, place the steak on the bottom with a little scoop of the onions, then the egg & cheese, then the bagel top to finish off the sandwich... ENJOY!!
Mmmm....

Til next time....

A Quickie...

Ahh Thursday... One day closer to Friday. I've been looking forward to the end of the week since Monday. We've got some great plans this weekend, but I like to share them after the fact. So hopefully I'll remember to post a lil sumptin', sumptin' about it on Monday.
The weather was awesome yesterday. I took advantage of it by meeting a friend at the batting cages to get a few cuts in. It was nice. The wife & I went shopping in the evening for things I'm going to need next week. It's a new 12 week program that I've mentioned before. I'll post more about it after a week of it to see if I like it or not. Doesn't mean I'm going to stop after a week if I don't like it. It just means it'll make the end result that much more gratifying. I'm looking forward to this endeavor & the goal at the end of it. Well... I better get back to work... Til next time...

Ahhh I Forgot...

I actually forgot to post this morning. I was about to, but I got distracted by someone that had to fill me in on some juicy gossip. By time I was done listening, break was over. I didn't even think about it. It's ok though, because there wasn't really anything to talk about. I've got to run some errands shortly then hit the batting cages so I've got to keep this brief. In the end I think this post was just a sorry attempt to make me feel better about missing a post this morning. I don't claim to be perfect, but I'd like to think that I can manage a post a day, except for weekends. Ok, I'm off to enjoy the sun, running errands in my car... Til next time...

Thank You Blogspot...

Just a quick note... While I was adding the links to my last post I accidentally closed the post. But because it autosaves every few minutes I was able to sign back in & NOT have to rewrite the last post!! WHOOHOOO something that went right today!! Til next time...

Not a Tuesday Fan...

I used the title Typical Tuesday last week. I find myself in the same boat this Tuesday. I didn't wake up & workout, which gave me a extra hour & a half of sleep. But I don't feel like I got it. Maybe I should have gotten my ass up & done something. So already, I didn't start the day out right. Then it was rainy & gloomy, again, typical Seattle weather. My son is supposed to have baseball practice this afternoon, but it's one of those... wait... & see. The rest of the day so far has been ho-hum. UGH!!

I hurried home yesterday to catch the Mariners home opener. It sucked. They lost 4-0. No fricken offense. I turned it off early yesterday & finished off Eastbound & Down. It was a good show. I wouldn't call it a great show, but it was entertaining & embarrassing at times. You know the feeling of embarrassment you feel for a character because they are so stupid. Like with Michael Scott on The Office. When he opens his mouth & says something stupid or does something you know is going to end bad, you almost feel like turning it off. The main character on Eastbound & Down is like that. It was a HBO show so at least it showed some T & A. Then I finished off the night with what turned out to be a guilty pleasure. I had seen previews for this movie long ago, heard all the "It SUCKED!!" movie reviews. It looked like a cheesy parody of the those cheerleading movies, & for whatever reason, I still had this urge to watch it. It was "Fired Up!!". A movie about two really good & popular football players that skip football camp to go to cheerleading camp to get laid. Of course the movie falls into the predictable lines with the guys enjoying cheer & finding themselves not wanting to leave. Plus one of the characters falls in love with the main cheerleader that didn't want them on the squad in the first place. It was actually pretty funny. There was definitely some moments that I was laughing loudly, which surprised me. But I'm easily entertained so its understandable. Well I've got to get back to work. So... Til next time...

Weekend Tidbits...

My son had his first baseball game on Saturday. Ahhh the chill of the wind off the Puget Sound. Nothing like a early afternoon baseball game in Edmonds, WA. It was a entertaining game. Most of the kids had never played baseball before so it was fun. My son went 2-2 & scored a run in a 10-10 tie. Granted both teams had two at bats & 5 run limits per inning. It was great. He had a hit on the first pitch that he saw, jogged to first, then on the next batter got lost on his way to second. His second hit, he ran to first ( after I suggested that someone was chasing him ) & found his way to second with a temporary stop in between to clap. ( During his time on defense, he was standing on second base, so coach drew a line to show him where the second baseman plays... that led to him stopping on that line when he was the runner, thinking that was second base. ) After that delay, he made it to second. Then on his way to third, a couple boys on the opposite team was blocking the way so he was prepared to wait til they moved. We had to yell for him to run around them. On the next hit he made a nice run & slide into home plate. He was very excited. It was a blast to watch.
That evening we did the Kilt & Mini Bash. It wasn't as fun as the last one we went to. They didn't have the contests, they didn't have a irish band playing for most of the evening ( like the last time ) & no seats down by the dance floor. It was like just going to a dance club where everyone is wearing kilts & minis. A little disappointing... I could go on, but I wont bore you with my griping. Though we came very close to watching some live action... little straddling going on, on a couch we had once occupied. We decided that after a few hours, that it was time to abandon the fun. I had to wake up early the next day anyway.
Baseball practice went surprisingly well. We actually had 13 of us show. I think that is the most we have had since the first practice I attended a couple of years back. We met the new players & I'm excited about the upcoming season. We had 3 players for each infield position & most of us can do double duty in the outfield. It was a great showing & the potential for a great season is there. Well I better get back to work... enough rambling. Til next time...

Upcoming Weekend...

Ahhh today is a good day. It's Friday & that helps. I ordered my new workout plan yesterday & recieved the questionaire this morning. I need to fill it out & send it back ASAP. Then wait a few days so it can be designed specifically for ME!! I'm excited. I got a whiteboard calendar to put in the garage/gym to mark off the days... Hopefully I can start on April 19th & by July 19th... NEW ME!!
Tomorrow I have a few things going on. My sons first baseball game!! Whoohooo!! It'll be entertaining to watch the little guy go out & play. I wonder if he is nervous... Don't think he realizes the magnatude of his little adventure. Both my wife & my family will be there watching their grandson make his baseball debut. So that is exciting.
Then in the evening, the wife & I will be joining some friends to attend the Kilt & Mini Bash in Seattle. We attended it a couple of years ago & had a blast. So I'm looking forward to this one. All the guys don their kilts & the women their minis. Any excuse right??
Sunday will be a baseball practice for me. Hopefully this time, more than the 3 plus me, will show up. By the emails running around, it looks like we should have a pretty good group showing up, weather permitting of course. Doesn't mean it will be a productive practice, it just means we'll be well represented.
Ahhh final note... Splinter Cell Conviction is scheduled to come out next week. ( It's a video game. ) I've been reading all the books by David Michaels. Its based on a Tom Clancy idea & its been turned into novels & video games. So during my trip to Wisconsin for pond hockey, I picked up a bunch of books. The Splinter Cell series being one of them. I figured I had some time to catch up to Conviction before I play the game. I'm almost there. I'm not usually the biggest fan of stealth games, but Conviction has me intrigued. So I'm stoked. I played the demo & couldn't put it down. Well, I've got to get back to work... Til next time!!

Rain/Snow & Hail...

I was driving in this morning & there was a car going the opposite way with snow on it. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. A few miles up the road I hit rain/snow mixed, which eventually turned into hail. It's fricken APRIL!! I would say it was Mother Nature playing a April Fools joke, but it's not the 1st of the month.
This morning I took my 12 week pic for my workout. It's been 12 weeks since I've "officially" started working out & I've lost 18 lbs. Doesn't really look like it, but I haven't really looked at my before & after pic to see if it's noticable. If it is, then maybe I'll post it on my Bodyspace. <--- that link is to the Bodyspace site, not mine. Eventually I'll post mine... Maybe if I reach my goal, then I'll feel comfortable posting it for my friends.
Now I've got a few more things to do before I head back to work. So I must sign off for now. The day isn't as busy as yesterday, but I still feel like I haven't had time to just look around & take things in. Til next time I guess...

Keeping It Short...

UGH!! Busy day @ work today. I've been running around like crazy. Sitting down to post is the first time today where I've had a moment to catch up with what has been going on around me. I have a few more minutes before I have to cut my break short & get back to the grind. Other than being busy, the day hasn't changed. Broke down & fixed the keyboard. Took a knife & cut the sticky that was holding the m & , together. ( From a previous post... ) I'd like to say that was my only productive job today. I hate when you bust your ass & it doesn't seem like you did anything.
On a different subject. I'm trying to think of what to do now that my 12 week workout plan is about over. I wanted to change after 6 weeks... my A.D.D. was kicking in. But my dad told me to stick with it. He used to compete in bodybuilding competitions so I took his advice. Now its about up & I don't know what direction I want to go in. I've been searching & I think I have found my answer. I'll post about it when I have more time... but the good thing is that I was able to email him with some questions & he was quick to answer back. I've read nothing but great things about this guy & hopefully with his help we ( wife & I ) can get to where we want to be. Well hate to cut break short, but I have to get back to work... UGH!! Till next time...

Typical Tuesday...

Today has been a typical Tuesday. Woke up & exercised with the wife. Came in to work, update my Facebook status, now I'm on break posting. Obviously you can tell that I have nothing to write about. The weather here is gloomy, chance of rain... pretty much your typical day here in the Pacific Northwest. My son is supposed to have baseball practice today, we'll see if the weather cooperates. If not, then we get to go home & chill... which is kinda what I'm hoping for... is that evil of me?? It's not like I can't go home & give him a practice at home. I know how to play baseball. Maybe not as well as I would like... but ok.
I need to start doing cardio. I've dropped 18 lbs. since I started this 12 week workout. But I still have a little pudge around the tummy. I've got plans to do a High Intensity Interval Training ( H.I.I.T. ) on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays. But I've yet to do it. We'll see what happens. Enough boring you with crap today. I'll try to come up with something better to write about tomorrow. I guess it all depends on time & what happens between now & then. Til next time...

Sticky M...

Ok so I do this blog mostly at work during my break. Its the only time of the day where I'm pretty much to myself. Unless someone sees me in here & decided to poke their heads in to bother me. Which happens, even though they can tell I'm engaged in something so I'm not a 100% paying attention to them. So where was I?? Oh at work... The keyboard has a sticky M. I was wondering why, the past few days I've been having problems typing. When I looked at the keyboard today I saw that the M & , was stuck together by what appears to be syrup. So whenever I push M... this pops up - ,m . Whenever I push , = ,m. See the problem. That means I'm backspacing a lot & also putting in the wrong passwords, assuming I have a m in my password. UGH!!
Happy Easter!! I know I'm late, but I don't get on the computer much over the weekend, you should already know that. The weekend was great. Nothing planned so it was nice to take our time & not have a schedule to follow. No hurry there & do this. Did watch a couple of movies I've been trying to watch. "Inglorious Basterds" & "Men Who Stare At Goats" Both movies were good. I think I liked "Inglorious Basterds" a little more than the other. But both movies entertained me & I didn't feel like I wasted my time.
So that was the most exciting part of my weekend. Did enjoy the windstorms that were here in the Pac. N.W. the end of the week & through most of the weekend. Made for some great sounds at night & entertaining visuals during our drives. I would have liked to take my camera out & played around with it more. Maybe next time.... Till then...

Finally Friday...

It feels like there are things I'm supposed to be doing this weekend. But as far as I know, we have NOTHING!! Whooohoooo... Our next few weekends are busy, so it'll be nice not to have to do anything this weekend & REST!!
We had our niece & nephew over last night. They were hanging out with the cousins, playing games & stuff. I got to play a first person shooter with them, multiplayer. My son has gotten pretty good at it considering he's going to be 5 in a couple of months. He was tearing up his cousins. I had to tell him to cool off & give them a chance or else they wont want to play with him. Doesn't help that he knows all the controls & they don't. So when it was time to play he was shooting them, then running up to them & slicing them up with the knife. I had to ban his knife play. Sounds pretty bad. But after a while he started letting them win. I know, a 4 year old letting his older cousins win. But it's kind of fair play since he is not good at the games they usually play so he is the 3rd wheel. But in this game, he's the assassin they wished they never knew. It was funny watching them wonder who killed them & my little almost 5 year old is giggling as his character is running away. Ahhh well I guess that is it for now. I had a friend interrupt me during my break to tell me about a play/opera he went to the other day. Sounds fun, but I don't know if I can sit through it. We'll see if that is even something the wife would want to do. We've done the ballet... I think we actually should do that again. Maybe a burlesque show would be more our speed. Til next time...

Blank...

This morning hasn't been very productive for me. First off, the alarm went off at 4 a.m. to tell me to go exercise & I refused to get up. Didn't help that it was LEGS day!! Add that to my things to do this afternoon. Then the whole drive in was with me at the wheel, half asleep. NOT GOOD!! Then I spent most of the morning trying to think of something to write about & so far... NOTHING!! Nothing exciting happening, no new news. BORING!! What the hell??
The wife is taking the kids over to Whidbey Island. They are going to be hanging out at Fort Casey. They do a 3rd year trip there every year for her school. ( She is a teacher ) She is meeting up with a co-worker to redue the scavenger hunt since there were some changes this year. Its a cool place, there is a lot of bunkers & gun turrents. I went on the trip when my daugther was in the 3rd grade. Had a blast. More info. on Fort Casey.... HERE!! Too bad the weather isn't really cooperating with them, but its still nice to get out. I did let my daughter take my camera so hopefully she'll take a bunch of nice shots. I hope its something she will like, so I have a excuse to get her a camera & we can go off together & take pics. Man this is a boring post... I should end it now... Til next time... SORRY!!
